Mid North movie club

Welcome to the Mid North Film Club, proudly operating in collaboration with Blyth Regional Cinema since 2000. Founded by Jessica and Joe Dames under the endorsement of the Independent Arts Foundation, our club has become a staple in the community by not only fostering a love for diverse cinema but also by supporting local initiatives through our profits which initially supported the IAF and now empower local projects.

Join us for a unique cinematic experience on the first Thursday of every month (excluding January). Our evenings begin at 5:45 PM with a wine tasting session, setting the stage for the feature film at 6:30 PM. Following the movie, enjoy a catered two-course dinner complete with wine sales, a raffle, and a quiz. The night rounds off with a directed discussion of the film, providing deeper insight and engagement. The dinner is catered by various Mid North schools and sports clubs, aiding their fundraising efforts.

Our film program is thoughtfully curated to include the latest releases, art house masterpieces, foreign language films with subtitles, and beloved classics.
